So, here’s the thing: There is a lady in your life – that could be your wife, girlfriend, mother, sister or friend. You want some gift ideas because the old stereotype flowers/chocolate/perfume is all a bit too predictable. What’s more, they don’t really last do they? The flowers wilt, the chocolate gets eaten and the perfume will run out. So, you go on a search and find some websites with excruciatingly bad English that say things like ‘best technology gifts for wife’ which have pretty random content, or that just list popular brands.

What you are actually looking for isn’t disguised advertising but real ideas. So, here are some cool tech gifts that will really be appreciated and will last. They also need to be appropriate for the occasion. Valentine’s day can be a little different from Christmas and birthday or anniversary will be different too.

Best Tech Gifts for Women

So, we’ve put together a review of top tech gifts we recommended for the tech-savvy ladies or young women, or for girls in your life. There are some great gift ideas at different prices.

Our list took around 70 hours to research and we had a lot of fun doing it. In fact, there are some cool gadgets we might just get for ourselves too. Now, we’re trying to stay away from stereotyping all women but we’re assuming saying on Valentine’s Day “darling, I got you this new chainsaw” isn’t going to work out that well 🙂

The Best High-Tech Gifts For Her

technology gift for wife

So, let’s jump right into it. Were’ not using a rating system, so pay no attention to the numbering. We think all of these 20 technology gifts are good gadgets for women.

1. Chomeiu Womens USB Laptop Tote Bag

How often have you been out somewhere with the woman in your life and their smartphone is on low charge? Then there’s a whole lot of hassle if both of you have forgotten your charging block or charging cable, right? So, first on our list of tech gifts for her is this Chomeiu Womens 15.6 – inch Laptop organizer bag with purse.

It’s a neat and simple idea. You just buy any power bank, fit the charged power bank into the bag and then you can charge a phone or tablet anywhere, from the attached USB cable, without having to get the power bank out of the bag or having to find a mains socket. So, no more going into coffee shops for a ridiculously priced macchiato, or Mcdonalds for a cheap burger, just because a phone is on 4% and you need to charge. The bag can be used to carry anything but has special securing features and padding for laptops and tablets, to keep them safe. It’s also water-resistant which is another great safety feature.

There are a range of colors, from a fashionista black to a bling pink and even a floral design.

So, an all-round good gift, with the hint of the techy.

2. HIGHEVER women’s Bluetooth Beanie, with Ponytail feature

Bluetooth headphone beanies are popular these days but there’s an issue for those women who have a ponytail. Beanie, Not a problem with this neat design from Highever, you get a warm beanie, and reasonably good loudspeakers and microphone, paired with your smartphone using Bluetooth 5, plus a range of features like hands-free calls, music streaming, volume adjustment, play/pause/skip, etc. What sets this apart in the ‘best tech gifts for wife’ category is that there is a small elasticated hole for long hair to pass through. A simple solution is there is a long hair problem.

3. Star Trek Next Generation Bluetooth Communicator Badge

Now, we said we weren’t going to stereotype. If you go to a comic or sci-fi convention, there are an awful lot of female Trekkies, right? So, this gift is a bit specialized but is just the thing for the Vulcan Princess in your life. If your Wife/Girlfriend etc. aren’t into this stuff, move on – nothing to see here. But if they are, this is a totally one of our top electronic gifts. What you get is a working Star Trek Communicator. Plays the classic Star Trek The Next Generation badge sound effect when you press it – nice but not very useful. The thing we really love is that it actually works with Bluetooth and you can really make or receive calls from a paired smartphone. What’s even cooler is that you can interface with Alexa, Siri, Google or Cortana.

The rechargeable battery lasts a couple of hours of call time and you recharge via a micro USB. We love it. You can see it in action here.

4. Shiatsu Back Shoulder and Neck Massager

If things are stressing out the woman in your life, you could take her on a Spa vacation to Hawaii, or take her driving through Paris in a sports car, with the warm wind in her hair. On the other hand, if that’s a bit too much cost, for a few percent of the price, why not treat her to this clever massage and deep heat gadget? – while you are saving up for that vacation of course.

The whole experience is very pleasant, using a combination of 8 kneaders plus infra-red deep heat. She might even start drifting off to sleep. It works off a mains charger but also has a car charger. So, on those long trips she can drift away (assuming she is one of the passengers).

As a tech gift for a girlfriend, it also solves the problem of your handsome male buddy being caught in a dilemma whether to give your girlfriend a friendly massage. If you have ever watched ‘Pulp Fiction’ you’ll know that it can get complicated.

5. Fitbit Versa Smart Watch, Peach/Rose Gold

Now, it’s never a good idea to give a woman a present which sends the message ‘hey babe, you are getting fat’. So, this is one of our best tech gifts for women that you need to message carefully. Try ‘wow, you are so fit these days, I thought I’d get you a Fitbit so that you can keep track’ 🙂 Fitbits are always great gifts but their design isn’t always the most appealing. This particular Fitbit is unusual as it doesn’t look like it was designed in a garage.

Now there are so many capabilities on a new Fitbit, there’s not much point going through all of them. Just be sure this model has all the usual stuff like exercise modes like Run, Swim, etc. plus you can access your favorite apps for sports, weather, get calls, check calendars, use text, etc.

6. De’Longhi La Specialista Espresso Machine with Sensor Grinder

We earlier mentioned overpriced coffee shops and we also mentioned Pulp Fiction. Well, why not get some gourmet coffee at home with this very high tech De’Longhi grinder and Espresso machine. Technology gifts for your wife, girlfriend or mother don’t need to have Bluetooth, which most of the gadgets on our list too.

This is one of our top gadgets as it is just packed with technology. As well as a sensor-based grinder and automatic temperature control this baby has an advanced latte system. Who knew it took so much AI to make a cup of coffee?

It’s topical to mention that the 8th of March is International Women’s Day. All women – and all men, should rise up 8 March and demand their right to an advanced latte system.

7. Waneway 12-Inch Screen Makeup Mirror with 24 LED Lights

A slightly more traditional gift idea now – an illuminated Cosmetic Mirror with touch-activated dimmer control and a small magnifying mirror. It can be rotated horizontally or vertically. What’s smart is that it remembers light settings after power -down. You can check out a video on it here.

8. GROOVX Bluetooth Audio Sunglasses

Back to the Bluetooth gifts now with this neat pair of audio bone-conducting sunglasses in a nice style that won’t make the woman in your life look like Neo in the Matrix. These have all the usual features, like hands-free calling, SIRI control, Bluetooth 5.00 and iOS or Android operation. So, you can send and receive calls, listen to music, stream podcasts, etc. Especially useful when driving.

9. Fossil Women’s Jacqueline Stainless Steel Hybrid Smartwatch

Another ladies smartwatch but unlike the Fitbit or similar gadgets, this just looks like a ladies watch. It works with an iPhone and Android phones and communicates with them, for example, it tracks your steps, tracks your sleep, and buzzes you when your phone has a notification, and of course, tells the time.

It doesn’t need charging, however, there is a normal watch battery arrangement which means the battery will need changing from time to time.

Yes, it does a lot less than a Fitbit or an Apple watch but that’s not the point. It’s for those women who will like this perfectly well, just as it is.

10. Nakto Electric Bicycle

This traditionally styled and reasonably priced electric bicycle might be just the tech gift for her. Mountain bikes appeal to many but some people, including some women, aren’t into that whole “mud and machismo” thing. They just want to get around town or down some country lane in style, in comfort and with a bit of assistance. This Nakto bike fits the bill perfectly. Skirts are not a problem, there’s a handy carrying basket upfront, a luggage pannier at the rear and a reasonably powered electric motor that will help you get around for a fairly long time if you do some pedaling in between just using the battery. There are even mudflaps (why do some people not fit mudflaps to their bikes? That is just crazy).

All in all, quite genteel and a nice, elegant techy present to give.

11. Victrola Wood Bluetooth Record Player

We’re kind of conscious here that we haven’t yet recommended any gadget really targeted at the Wife of a certain age. Today’s Grandmothers and Mothers were often in their youth, pretty wild.

They might be making Jam now, but back in the day, they might have been listening to a Hendrix Jam.

Your respectable wife (or mum or grandma) today lived through the eras of rock-and-rollers, hippies, and punks. So, encourage them to see what they have in the way of Vinyl, stashed away somewhere. They present them with this neat retro record player that also features a radio and – inevitably – Bluetooth. Then watch them serenely while away the hours to the raucous sounds of Rockabilly, Jefferson Airplane, the Ramones, or Iggy and the Stooges. You have no idea what they used to get up to – and it’s probably best not to ask.

12. Retro Telephone Handset

While we are on the subject of retro, we think anyone who loves the Victrola Wood turntable might love this crazy old-style handset that actually works with your mobile phone. Your spouse, mother or grandmother can just plug it into her smartphone headphone socket or via a special cable for iPhone (she has a smartphone – right?. It’s a good idea to check that first).

The handset actually works pretty well. There is a reason telephone handsets were designed like this and in fact they have some real advantages over modern smartphones, as you will find out when you use them. A nice jokey gift maybe for your Mother.

13. WiibooxSweetin 3D Desktop Chocolate Printer

So we mentioned giving chocolate is a bit stereotyped right? Well, how about a 3D chocolate printer. Then she can design and make her own (and maybe some for you too). Just put some special chocolate-based raw materials in, dial in the idea and out of it comes some custom chocolate. How cool is that? It works with white chocolate, dark chocolate and candy. There are some pre-designed templates or she can just do her own thing. Mmmmmm…ladies…chocolate ❤

14. AI-LIGHTING Lighted Smart Bathroom Makeup Mirror

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is topical right now and we already looked at one mirror, so why not go the next step up to a smart mirror?

This clever gadget can be programmed via a touch screen to simulate different lighting conditions (indoor, outdoor and outdoor strong sunlight) which means she will know how her makeup looks each time. There’s a 3x magnification complementary second mirror and also a defogging function for the mirror after a steamy shower or bath.

One of our favorite high tech gifts for her.

15. KOHLER K-9245-CP 2.5 GPM Moxie Showerhead and Wireless Speaker

Does the woman in your life like singing in the shower? If she does, how about some music actually in the showerhead she can sing along to? This clever wireless gadget from Kohler has a speaker that fits directly into the showerhead. It Syncs (inevitably) with Bluetooth enabled devices, including smartphones, tablets, MP3 players, and laptops, which can be safely located up to 33 feet away. You can check out a video here.

16. HiMirror Smart Beauty Mirror with Skin Analyzer

One final mirror and this one is even smarter than the AI-Lighting, though a lot smaller. This is a bedside mirror that uses HiMirror’s skin analysis technology, which analyses her makeup and other skincare products to see which ones are improving the skin. There are also lights and zooming in function to get a closeup and Amazon Alexa control.

Do you have a slightly vain Sister? Now she can say to Alexa ‘Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of them all’ and actually get an answer.

17. Luminex by PowerSpa 7-Color 24-Setting LED Shower Head Combo

Heading back into the bathroom and how about a shower that’s also a disco? Turn down the lights, turn up the music and let this Luminex product wash your worries away while lighting up the bathroom with a range of changing colors. It’s all run by water, so there’s no recharging needed. It’s a fun gift for her, especially when combined with our next gift.

18. BassPal Bluetooth Shower Speakers, with LED Display, FM Radio, Suction Cup, Light Show

So, you have the lights in the shower, now add the music for her to groove along to along with more lights and also a clock so that she isn’t in there all morning having fun. There’s even beat-driven lighting. Just how much more fun can a shower be? But wait – there’s more. If she prefers a bath or a jacuzzi, it will even float in that as you can see here.

19. AICase Bluetooth & Thumbprint Lock

If your significant other goes down the gym or maybe college or work and she needs to use a locker, why not invest in this clever thumbprint or Bluetooth enabled padlock? No more lost keys or forgotten combinations. It’s IP6 level waterproof too, so she could use it on a bike or a backpack outside as well. You can see it working here.

20. Tile Essentials GPS item finders

We left the best for the end of our list. We all misplace things from time to time. If the woman in your life occasionally can’t remember where she left something – her keys, her phone, her purse or her handbag, then this great pack of devices from Tile will let her track them down in seconds. Tile offers this tech bundle 4 Pack, which includes 2 Tile Stickers, 1 Tile Mate (great for keys) and 1 Tile Slim.

You can find misplaced items up to 150 feet or more, so that should have your home covered unless you are so rich then losing stuff is no biggie. If you lost items while out shopping, at the gym, at work etc. you can anonymously ask other Tile users to help you find it with their devices. Tile can pay for itself really quickly. We love it and think it is one of the best high tech gifts for her.

We bet you really wish we had Tile years ago, don’t you?

    1. You are right that we haven’t and that is deliberate. This isn’t the 1950’s anymore or even the 1970’s. Pretty much all the gadgets we have put in our list are suited to women whatever they do, whatever their age and whatever their interests are. We think most men would be pretty happy to get most of them too.

    1. Yes, we agree. It’s certainly true that there is now a huge range of gadgets that use Bluetooth and the number just keeps going up. We could have spent a whole review just on smart uses of Bluetooth technology and some great gadgets to go with them.
